Can you find all three Cubs? Miles found You already because he’s a bullet to the sound of the flash popping up… Looks like there is a vacancy in Timber’s first floor condo if you want to join us for a nap! She won’t mind, she prefers a downy couch cushion.
This sighting from last night is so rare that I think this has only happened ONCE in three years. It is unclear whether this is because:
A. Their powerful love of Ben’s butt exceeds both Timber’s disdain for Miles and Mile’s inscrutable urges to clobber Timber… Ben sat there all day watching football and this was his analysis.
B. They are forming a mutually beneficial faction against Mochi, possibly called MERD! – Mochi Eating Righteous Dictators! … just my thought.
UPDATE – Ben thinks maybe it’s MERDE – Mochi Eats Really Dirty Excrement. I think I raised them better than that! Better to have bad spelling than bad manners .’ )
-Or-
C. Maybe this is the behavior they use to forecast a natural disaster… in which case get ready for the earthquake of the century!!
SIDE NOTE: I think it is easier to appreciate Timberhaazy in black and white because in color her specks and freckles are overwhelmed by her beautiful silky black background. This leads me to expounds on my theory about why black pets are difficult to adopt out and chronically under appreciated, it is because their features are almost impossible to see!
Today we played musical baskets. The smaller pet bed made by Palmetto Pet beds, has scored universal appeal with all three cubs enjoying the texture and tension of this product.
Soft pet bed does not prove to be ideal for battling in… too flimsy.
Much better! Mochi’s 1 second of having the upper hand…
Miles and Timberhaazy have adjusted remarkably well. Timber in particular is coping nicely with having a rambunctious puppy in her face considering she and Mochi are the same height right at the moment. Miles probably doesn’t LOVE having a puppy just yet but he is certainly making the best of it! Here are some highlights from our favorite time of day:
Mochi is the cubs’ brand new Shiba Inu puppy! As of this week I consider her functionally potty trained thanks to our trainer Diane Rich of Spokesdog.com, and good genes compliments of the world class breeding program at SanJo Shibas. We have embarked on lessons in sit/stay; down/stay and a host of other nice to have behavior corrections that are all taking very well.
I gave a three month prediction to this moment and it has only taken 11 days for Miles to figure out what Mochi’s got and decide he’s still King Bee! Timberhaazy is tentatively watching from the wings; still making her assessment but she seems to be taking it in stride. I revise my prediction: I give Timberhaazy three months until she will sit next to Mochi without bolting. Three months until Miles is walking Mochi on a leash.
Our furry son turned two! Because he’s just a cat we won’t get too technical about how long ago his birthday was… .” ) (Timberhaazy.com was having technical difficulties I swear!) Here he is presenting in Birthday Pose below. He weighs in at a robust 12 pounds and has grown into a loving companion with tons of character and a great sense of humor! We couldn’t possibly be more proud and loving of our Bengal bebe!!!

Happy Second Birthday Miles!!
This year we worked really hard on growing our goat belly, learning to be safe in the back yard, walking on a leash outside the yard and not beating our sister. Because not beating our sister doesn’t seem to be sinking in… this is happening:
Meet Miles and Timber’s new baby Shiba Inu sister! She’s the one on the left (facing) with lipstick on her face. Bengal cats require a fully sporting buddy who is game 22/7*, and sweet little Timber isn’t interested in keeping up. We concluded after a full year of contemplation, that we are ready to expand again. I think the cubs will both be over the moon when the bebe comes home on Halloween!!!
* Even Bengal cats sleep at least two hours per day…
